Apple has released an update for its native ebook reader and store, iBooks, for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The update includes numerous performance fixes and stability enhancements. Apple has fixed a bug where an ebook would open with an unexpected font, and has resolved issues with video playback in enhanced books in the iBook store. Version 1.2.2 of iBooks is free and available in the iTunes App Store now.
