Amazon has released an update of its Kindle for Android app that now supports Honeycomb tablets. The ereader app is tailored to the larger screen and new UI of the Honeycomb operating system.

The app also has a new book purchasing layout specifically designed for tablets, as well as a redesigned layout for newspapers and magazines, including full color images. “We’ve taken all the features customers love about Kindle for Android, and created a beautiful new user interface and a seamless shopping experience tailored to the look and feel of Honeycomb tablets,” said Dorothy Nicholls, Amazon’s director of the Kindle program.
